The accommodation is only a kilometre from Montaione (which can be reached on foot if necessary), a small village in the province of Florence rich in history, its ancient origins confirmed by the many Etruscan and Roman finds discovered locally; its hilltop position (350 metres a.s.l.) means that the farm enjoys a lovely climate and a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside
The nearest railway station is in Castelfiorentino (10 km ) or in Florence. The nearest airports are Pisa airport Galileo Galilei and Amerigo Vespucci in Florence ( about 50 Km ). Montaione is around 47 km from Florence, around 50 km from Pisa and Siena and around 60 km from Lucca.

Near the houses there is a lane to the mine that has been restored by the "Assessorato Provinciale Firenze".
In the environs there are many trekking tours and the Hermitage of San Vivaldo in the "Via Francigena". San Vivaldo is called "Jerusalem in Tuscany" thanks to its chapels, terracottas and paintings of Robbias School.
Not far from there, in Castelfalfi, you can find a beautiful golf.
Less than 1 km you can ride horses and paly tennis.
Montaione was declared "municipality" in 1257, and is situated in the haert of Tuscany, among San Gimignano (km 15), Certaldo (km 10)- Boccaccios town- Volterra (km 20)-famous Etruscan and alabaster town.
Every week it is possibile to go sightseeing with an english speaking guide to Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Pisa and Lucca, and have a lunch and a tipical taste enclosed.
